Hi! We’re Stanford O-Tone—Stanford’s all-gender East Asian Interest A Cappella group. We perform music across many styles, genres, and languages by East Asian, Asian American, and other Asian Diasporic artists.
Since our founding in 2016, we’ve been fortunate enough to share our music to audiences in the Bay Area, across the U.S., and the world, performing at community events and cultural festivals. This past year, we traveled to Beijing and Hong Kong!
As part of the growing efforts to celebrate Asian and Asian American representation in music, we remain committed to celebrating various cultures through song!
AUDITIONS 2026-27
On Monday (9/21), Tuesday (9/22), and Wednesday (9/23), we'll be holding auditions for O-Tone in the A³C Conference Room, located in the Old Union Clubhouse. Sign up for a 15-minute audition slot by clicking the link below:
During your audition, we'll walk you through some simple musical exercises that test your sense of rhythm and pitch. Don't worry - no prior experience in music or any foreign language is required to audition!
We'll also give you a chance to strut your stuff in a one-minute prepared vocal solo. Feel free to sing any song of your choice! We'd love to hear whatever you think best showcases your vocal talents.
